Oral history interview with Chief Meyers, 1964 Mar. 24.

Interview conducted by Larry Ritter for use in his book "The Glory of their times : the story of the early days of baseball told by the men who played it". Chief Meyers dicusses being a Native American playing in the Major Leagues. He also comments on playing for manager John J. McGraw, and comments on McGraws coaching style. Additionally Meyers makes comparisons between modern players and salaries, to players of the early 1900's. Followed by comments on the 1911 World Series (Connie Mack's Athletics), and Jim Thorpe returning his Olympic medals.
